E-mail Feedback(bad/rude language inside)

In this thread, I will show you Some replyes I've gotten to my warning e-mail, I answer them and then I'll show you some statistics that make me happy...


Ok...lets begin with the replyes:

Negative Replies

most of them were negative replies...very offensive ones, with completely no sense about what they were saying,

I'm going to answer this knowing he wont read it, but still I'm going to explain our dear members why this person is wrong as if I was speaking to him:

Shakir Ahmad, you started by saying that I want to make a community offering only uploads of stuff that
others have subbed, but yet in the end you refered sites like getfansubs and animetake as being some good sites(as what I understood)
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but...Isn't the only thing that started to draw people into those sites "uploads of stuff that
others have subbed"? I understand that now some people go to they're websites for some other stuff other then the subbed episodes, but when they started that was the first reason members were to the Website...

Now, you ask whats so special about my website...the special thing about my website is that I don't get any kind of money for work made by others, as they do...if you go to any other site, you see that they are full of ads, and even some of them have a premium membership so that you have special rights when downloading(that money goes right to they're pockets...and just a little percentage go to the website!)

That's why I have the right to ask something out of the members...if no one "pays" somehow(for some sites its money, for me its you're activity) the site will eventually close because of lack of will of the creator!

Sorry for that, but I had to do this extreme measure so that my will comes back to do this job...

I didnt understood half of this messege(sorry) but what you sayd of "we want some contest to make it attractive", This is the problem I've been having. You know what is the more important thing in a contest? CONTESTENTS lol, thats why I keep telling people to come here and to be active..this way I can be sure that if I make a contest I will have some contestents...Like in the gallery game, this game is up for months now, but it didnt worked because the ones that were interested couldnt play it because of the lack of participants!

Anyways, I'm glad that you agree with the rules of the site...xD

hey mate, I saw your email, and it got my attention in a really big way. you have to know a few things about the situation tho. since you offer anime downloads fast, people will come to leech. I know. A site Im very familiar with (ww.animea.net) (I post alot, contribute alot there), has over 190 000 members... and guess how many ACTIVE users we have? around 200, MAYBE 300. I know the pain it is to upload. I used to upload TONS of anime, and it was a fucking HUGE pain, since ppl we're always asking me for links, uploads, and what not. thats why I quitted that.

I know how it feels to be taken advantage of, I know how it feels to be leeched out of. But the thing you should remember, is that deletion isnt always the best option. You should maybe put a restriction on your downloads (i.e: user must have 25 posts to get the downloads), that way, you get more posts. or for every 25 posts, your users get one download, and after a certain post count, they can have all the downloads they want.

anywho, Im just a simple admin oif a manga reader, so I do know a few things, and it looks like you'Re real mad. Personnally, Im going to get active, because I want to keep that account. I hope you answer this message, and here is my msn if you ever want some help around your forums: "Hidden" . Good luck with your site, and Ill see you around the forums ^^.

First I would like to say that I'm happy to know that someone understands my pain, and then I want to say that I think that deleting the accounts is the best choice to make(although I don't have anyother way because i cant do that minimum posts that you said for now)
Let me give you an example:

If you don't already know, Know now that I am portuguese, and theres a portuguese Website called BTnext. This website basically is a torrent tracker with they're own torrent client software...

what makes this site so good for me refering it ? the thing about this website is that they only accept members for invitation, although the numbers of members are low, the quality of the members they have is high, most of the members there keep seeding for the community, upload they're own torrents etc...
What i mean is that the members are very active(everyone of them) making me happy, which makes me want to give somethiing to the community to, and thus making other happy...etc...etc...etc....

To tell you an example of how effective they are, I download Need for speed undercover ~4 GB in 1 hour!


The thing you are sayng about the minimum post count to download, isnt possible now, but something similiar to that will be implemented in the new version thats coming. For now the radical solution is to delete inactive accounts so that leecher members dont spoil my trafic



To finish this, I want to say that in general the e-mails were just complains, but, thats what I excpected, because the smart & kind people of the world are just a minority...

You got me there, Dakilla! I was laughing so hard that my jaw is seriously going to drop. For a moment, I think I even stop breathing...I'm relieved because my walls are soundproof...otherwise...

So, I'm also freak out at first since I just registered at your forum for one day and I received such provocative letter and knowing it will be effective immediately, I work my ass off.

I'm surprised but how well you are handling thing. Concerning Maxly, the one giving negative reply. I find you so "rude to him". If he is swearing such much in the first place with f****** this and f******* that (my my i wish I don't have to witness the downfall of human's nature), why even bother censoring it in the first place??? I saw you censor it for one time but after that I understand you lost count of his foul language. Poor you! I wonder why there is no one bother (this I will gladly do) telling him to shut the **** up! Hum, see, now I get the bad influence. You have to forgive me for that one too!

Concerning the positive feedback, I think Loic G-M got a very good idea, or he got the hang of it since many forums I know function this way in order to get rid of leechers. You don't have to get a high post count, 20 to 30 will do. At least, you can get rid of those with no post. I think you should really consider this.

Anyway, I feel guilty either way too. Since I also have an account at animea.net but I rarely or even never post anything there. I feel ashamed of myself but like someone said, I am too greedy to handle too many things at a time. But it is also true that I have never download anything from here, since I am not in a rush watching anime. I tend to save 3 to 5 episodes and watch them all in a row because I can't wait to see more. Am I weird? I also have many others direct sources so I can get them anytime now. Some people are not too blame since it's true that anime is not rare nowadays. Many sites provide anime with fast and reliable host especially for Bleach and Naruto, two mains anime with most viewers and probably most well-known. This is just my little thought on this and hope you do not be offended. With that said, I send my best wishes to Portugal...
