Hey guys! Now i am having problem with my FF 3.0.4 version. The problem is my firefox browser keeps creating new window or open new tab(if i change it to tab).

Before I reformat my computer, this problem aready occured and i had no idea how to fix this thing. Then, I decided to reformat my computer and backup everything up.

Few minutes later, after i installed FF 3.0.4 version. The problem came back and start creating new window/tab(if i change it to tab).

I had no idea what caused this problem. I'm requesting a guru here for help.

what do you mean by "if i change it to tab"???
don't get what you are trying to say...
is it if you try to open in a new tab but it open in a new windows instead?
and why the hell do you format your computer??
your computer isn't having any faulty error also you reformat

what do you mean by "if i change it to tab"???

I meant when I open new page in window, it will automatically open in new tab.

is it if you try to open in a new tab but it open in a new windows instead?

not only that. Every 15-30secs it will open new window/tab for me.

and why the hell do you format your computer??

Because my computer/browser infected high risk virus and I couldnt removed it from my computer/browser.
After I reformated my drives. The nasty sh1t came back and continues open window for me.

your computer isn't having any faulty error also you reformat

Everything fine! Just when open firefox 3.0.4, and surf net for awhile. Then it pop up a new window/tab for me.(every 15-30secs)

Now, even my internet explorer infected too.

You might want to switch your antivirus software. I suspect it is a virus since I have firefox 3.0.4 as well and it doesn't happen to me. I recommend AVG Free if you dont want to pay money.

Also open up the task manager when the tabs open. If you have more than one instance of firefox running, then you have the same virus I did.

I did tried AVG Free and scanned my drives. AVG did found other virues but the problem still continue.
The virus called Virtumonde keep coming back after I removed it by Spybot. I need help!

There is no other second firefox program running.

Hmm the virus is probably in the registry. which means it will come back every time you go into windows. Try this site
and
see if that works. It seems that it will be pretty technical, so be
prepared. if that doesn't work, search "virtumonde removal" in google
and hope for the best.

thanks! The virus has been removed from my drives. and I don't know what to say to you. Thanks again from me Smile

oh gosh... don't use AVG free please...
it's virus database is like nothing...
compare bit defender, norton, NOD 32 and kaspersky....
i'm using Kaspersky Internet Security... it has been a great anti virus for me...

I like Firefox better for looking up links.

I have fasterfox, MU toolbar and download statusbar, but i rarely use them much.

My firefox MU toolbar is messed up since I upgraded it to V3.

And sometimes I feel like using a new download window so I can close the rest up, so I don't use that anymore.

I use IE for everything else.
