Welcome to the dragon ball live action info thread. I haven't seen almost nothing arround here talking about the live action, but guess what there's a lot of information out there already and also it's now confirmed by to videos now that this time it is true...

Anyways, i'm making this thread and i will update it daily except if i don't have any news...

Introduction

This movie will follow the story of goku trying to stop lord piccolo from getting all dragon balls and dominate the planet. (This is just to resume it because everything that you need to know will be down here...)

Cast

Justin Chatwin will play as Goku which is a boy of 18 years old who is considered a rare and unpopular tiny beast in the school, but he is in fact an extremely talented martial arts fighter, thanks to the rigorous education of his grandfather, Gohan.
After the death of his grandfather at the hands of the evil Lord Piccolo, Goku finds its destiny in his grandfather dying wishes, who requests that he finds Master Roshi and look for the Dragon Balls to prevent that Lord Piccolo is successful in its desire to use the Dragon Balls to dominate the world.
Trained by Master Roshi, helped by Bulma and Yamcha, Goku demonstrates to be a formidable, almost unbeatable fighter. He will have many dangerous adventures to find the Dragon Balls and thus to save the world.

James Marsters will play as Lord Piccolo an old being that in spite of its humanoide aspect, is of an extraterrestrial race whose objective is to dominate the world. Piccolo is the head of a demonic race that almost destroyed the Earth 2,000 years ago, and with the eclipse and the possession of the 7 Dragon Balls, he is prepared to free itself and to make the work directly this time. Piccolo has some disquieting news for Goku, that it knows that the boy is in fact a Saiyan that is destined to be united to Piccolo as its right hand in the destruction and the esclavización of the planet.

Chow Yun-Fat will play as Master Roshi. He's a good friend of Goku's grandfather Gohan.
Goku will try to find him after his grandfather was murdered by Lord Piccolo. Although he looks like an unprotected old man, Roshi is one of the most frightful world-wide fighting leaders. He begins the rigorous training of Goku to prepare him to the fight for the 7 Dragon Balls to save the world of the destructive plan of Piccolo.
He's a wise man who knows so much on the human nature as the martial arts. Master Roshi is impressed by the fight of Goku, but he also remembers his flaws to him.

Emmy Rossum will play as Bulma a beautiful girl of 20 years old with a great intelligence.
Bulma is young decided, a competitive girl whose the 5 stars Dragon Ball given by her father was robbed by Lord Piccolo,
She also thinks that she can use his limitless energy and change the world like Edison or Einstein. Bulma who has a Dragon Balls Radar, forms a team with Goku, and with him she joins Master Roshi and Yamcha to find the Dragon Balls that they need before Lord Piccolo can dominate the world.
She is also expert in arms.

Jamie Chung will play as Chichi the love of all the life of Goku, Chichi is attractive, from its childhood, has grown next to Goku. It has studied martial arts and she always suspected that Goku has the talents that are unusual and extraordinary. After Goku undertakes its trip to honor the death of its grandfathers, Chichi meets with Goku and its friends in a fight match where its mutual attraction finally is made patent during a session of training.

Park Joon Hyung will play as Yamcha he is 20 years old boy who does not have any problem in attracting the women, he often makes fun of Goku.
After he heared by chance the story of Master Roshi of Piccolo who once almost destroyed the Earth and his arranges to do it again, Yamcha changes changes to the "good" side and not only aid the three in the desert, but becomes a valuable part of the teak.
He's an ingenious young person whose truck is like a Swiss knife, each part of it has an infinity of devices, Yamcha joins Goku, Bulma (he has a loving interest towards her) and the Master Roshi on they're search to find the Dragon Balls before Piccolo.

Eriko Tamura will play as Mai she is a girl who is about 30 years old. She's exoticand attractive characteristics but she's deadly.
Dressed black, with arms tied with strap throughout her body, she is an expert of the martial arts and is the right arm of her head Lord Piccolo. Mai has the ability to transform herself into any thing

Randall Duk Kim will play as Grandpa Gohan a gentle and wise man, he's the grandfather of Goku, he goes up to around the 70 years, but he has the agility of a young person.
He is An artist of the martial arts who trains Goku , he loves his grandson and is a very happy person.
On the Eighteenth birthday of Goku he prepares a special banquet for him, as well as a special gift: The 3 Star Dragon Ball(i know it's odd, but it is my source).
Tragically, Gohan is murdered by Namekian ninjas, and while he dies he sends his grandson to face his destiny.

Texas Battle will play as Agundes (not in the original story) he is a Latin American guy who is tall and strong. He measures more than 6 feet tall(some 180 cm).
He is about 20 years old and he is the companion of Carey Fuller.He's a great football player.
He's an athletic boy and in the film he has a fight scene.(From my point of view this is the typical popular and cocky school guy)

Luis Arrieta will play as Teto (not in the original story) he is the companion of Goku in the institute and he's the typical Nerd.
He always answers all the questions that the professor in class does.

Rafael Valdéz will play as Carey Fuller (not in the original story) he's the big guy of the scholl, he's one of the friends of Achundes

Shavon Kirksey will play as Emi (not in the original story) Achundes girlfriend, she is also the best friend of Chichi

Julian Sedgwick will play as Mr.Kingery (not in the original story) Goku's teacher

Actually to be precise, an actuall unnoficcial movie as already been up for some long time...
it is called Monkey Boy the magic begins

but now it will be released a 100 milion dolors cashed official movie by Fox on April 09...

this time it seems to be a good movie...not like the one above...xD

the one you are talking about is Called :"Monkey Boy, The Magic Begins" it's based on the Dragon Ball story, but it didnt had nor the cash nor the Rights to make a decent movie( It was not Goku or Master Roshi, it was Monkey boy and turtle man)...

this one has nothing like that you're talking about, this one is produced by fox and has a 100million cashier...so, excpect it to be a blockbuster

well...actually i can stiçç laugh a out that movie, im sorry that you cannot enjoy it as i did, i havent enjoyd it because it was a good movie, nor because it looked like dragon ball, I enjoyed it because it was really funny!!

if you are trying to compare that movie to the upcoming one you have serious troubles about judginf movies...

Which do you think is the best?

the cool thing about anime is that you have no boundries...

on real life it's very hard because you have to adapt things to a certain "beleivable " context...very hard

(just one example: at the anime goku's hair is very cool spiked, in a real world movie it's unconceibable to do that...it would look very bad...)
